For many girls, a monthly period should be a normal part of life, not a reason to miss school. Yet without sanitary products or accurate information, some girls stay home, fall behind and lose confidence.

Two problems, one solution

Girls face two connected challenges: access to affordable sanitary products, and knowledge about menstrual and reproductive health. Our programme tackles both at once.

  • We donate sanitary pads directly to schoolgirls.
  • We run education sessions on menstrual hygiene and female reproductive health.
  • We create space for girls to ask questions without embarrassment.

Why education matters as much as supplies

When girls understand what is happening in their bodies, they can manage their periods safely and recognise when something needs a health worker's attention. Education also breaks down the stigma that keeps the topic hidden.

When a girl has what she needs, she can concentrate on her lessons, not on getting through the day.
